We only began our registered Red Angus herd in 2008. While our numbers are smaller than our Hereford herd, we are very pleased with the quality we have in place. In addition, we keep the same strict selection tools in place as we do everything else in regards to culling, phenotype, and performance. We select our Red Angus genetics based on calving ease, strong growth, with excellent carcass merit. In addition to the base of females we purchased from Lonker/Brandee, we’ve also invested in top females, both Canadian and Domestic, to create a tremendous maternal foundation. We look forward to watching our Red Angus flourish.
