Bowling Ranch is located at the foot of the Flint Hills and the top of the Osage Hills, which is on the Oklahoma-Kansas Stateline in far NE Kay County, Oklahoma. However, the ranch originated in Grant County, Oklahoma in the Pond Creek-Jefferson areas in the early 1900’s. In that time period, the Hereford breed was still king of all the cattle breeds!
Today, Bowling Ranch consists of both Hereford and Red Angus cattle. The registered herds total approximately 600 head of Herefords and Red Angus, while the commercial herd consists of approximately 750 head of Hereford/Red Angus crosses, producing some high- quality red-baldies. The cattle run on a wide expanse of native grass. Bowling Ranch has an extensive AI and ET program which incorporates industry leading genetics.
Tim Stidham manages the registered side of the program with assistance from his wife,
LaMecia, who manages the registered records. Kris Young supervises the commercial operation, while owner, Nancy Bowling, provides oversite of the operation.
